The purpose of Bancroft’s Community Improvement Plan (CIP) is to actively support the municipality's revitalization, redevelopment, and overall economic prosperity through strategic municipal planning.

The CIP will also provide a framework, with strong emphasis on sustainability and economic viability, for implementation of the planning tools and assistance programs contained within. Public and private partnerships will be developed to stimulate commercial investment that will increase community marketability by capturing the economic, social, environmental and cultural benefits for a healthy community.
