After careful consideration and a thorough review of historical beach sampling results, Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has determined that public beach sampling in our area consistently demonstrates bacterial levels within acceptable thresholds as per protocol. As a result, Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has discontinued routine sampling for 2024 at:
L’AMABLE LAKE DAM (L’AMABLE LAKE)
RIVERSIDE PARK (YORK RIVER)
Beaches may have high levels of bacteria for up to 48 hours after heavy rainfall and/or strong winds which may pose a risk to the health of swimmers. Avoid swimming during these periods.
